To me it's nearly perfect, there's just a few bugs to work out, but it's still new. It has the same incredible building system and customization as PC, but it's a much more complex simulation that requires lots of management and keeps you on your toes.
My personal favorite tycoon lately has been Planet Zoo, and while it may not go on any big sales for a while, you might find it worth saving up for. Out of all of them I have the most hours in Planet Coaster, and it's probably my favorite of the two by a small margin. Also, the game is just incredibly pretty.
GEARCITY ADVANCED BUILD TUTORIAL PC
The building system has a bit of a difficulty curve, but there's a huge PC community and tons of community content to get you going. If you want hundreds of hours of playtime getting lost and building your dream park, PC is the way to go. The simulation end is fairly basic, though better now than at launch, but the customization is incredible.
Planet Coaster is basically the opposite. Since the customization is also simpler than PC, I find that I can more quickly build parks that feel themed and complete before moving on to the next one, where achieving the same sense in PC takes many more hours. The simulation end is great, and the customization, while not too in-depth, is plenty enough to be satisfying. Parkitect is a bit more "game-y", like it has an almost arcade feel to it, since it's effectively the spiritual successor to RCT 1/2. Out of the other two, it's kind of a toss-up based on your preferences. To me, the depth of simulation just wasn't there and the creativity wasn't enough to make up for it. Personally, my least favorite has been Parkasaurus but honestly I haven't played it since very early access, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I have most of the above, just not megaquarium.
