Many say, that it’s not until some situation brings you to rock bottom that you learn what you’re made of and you realize who is in the fray with you. I’m still not living at home my house was devastated by Hurricane Michael and let me be honest, while it sounds bad – the blessings in the journey have been utterly wonderful. There is nothing like the downtime during the holidays to come home to what’s real. This is the year that I’ve missed John like no other because the challenges were a lot to bear alone – but at the same time, I’ve been determined to plow through. I am my most confident self this year – having shed some of the things that weighed me down – and detouring around dysfunction as if it were a pothole in the road. I think about what I’ve done throughout the year to grow, if I’m staying true to my own voice and if I’m doing the difficult work of walking in my own authenticity as well as standing by the principles that are a part of me. Why now? The end of the year is always a time to come home to myself. Also, I’m going to also ask a favor near the end of my post. I’m mostly past the grief but have always felt that we’re kindred spirits here and am leaping out on faith again to share my heart. For years I’ve laid my grief as well as triumphs out in plain sight not sure why I stopped sharing that here, hopefully, 2019 changes that.

(Yikes, this post is full of “I, I’ve and Me” – and it is long!) I hope you’ll take a moment to read – I’ve been blasting through cards this past year and have been very quiet on what life is really like these days. Your free time is far, far less with an on call business that is very busy day and night. Rare, least to me, to find a job that actually trains you!

Skills are learned on the job, video reviews, and SPARK software that has printable subjects. Standard benefit package, pretty good life, health and other incentives including PTO (Paid Time Off).
You will never have a paycheck without some extra hours on it! So once again, YOU must be there for someone else on your day off. As I just said, they do work together as a team - even on days off! It is expected of each person, not just management. If a work related question comes up, someone will respond with an answer. That said, YOU must do the same for others too! This will cut into your free time. They know you work to support your family and family has to come first. Management works with employees and doesn't micromanage you. That will make you late for any appointments or gathers you would have planned to be at. You have a set start time, and must be at work. If you have a team that works together, then you only have to be on call for your couple of days & nights.

Why? Coworkers cannot handle either the independence of working alone and doing the task, or being on call was not seriously considered as "24/7." As such, YOU are now stuck with your shift PLUS the worker that quit. The management are a bit aloof, not like some companies. Very slow, when its slow crazy busy, when it's busy. Easier to get around at night, very hard to sleep during the days. The 48 plus hrs per week, working graveyard for about 9yrs of 11, was a love/hate situation. The bulk of the employees were 25 to maybe 50ish, the warehouse staff were in their 20's. Getting to know the staff at facilities is good for me as people will help get in and out if more places order.
We also, service, disinfect and quality check our equipment before every delivery.
I became professionally versed in my field work and confident in myself and the products. Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Centers, Retirement Homes, Residents, etc are part of the daily routine. We use a full electric lift gate to accommodate loading & unloading equipment. Other bed styles and functions are rented as well and one will be loading them into a 17ft box truck or cutout.

Unlike bed frames, some of these mattresses perform lateral timed turns, alternation and/or pulsation for Organ or Skin health. You will answering questions, advising, repairing, assisting and perform pickup services of various types of bariatric equipment.The bulk of the deliveries are Therapeutic air mattress systems. Other then outside sales, or account servicing, there so much to learn, moreover, be accountable for. My time with SizeWise was spent working shifts no one else wanted and relieving them of consistent on calls during the week.The job is so unlike anything I had ever done.
